Synopsis:

The contaminated land reports prepared by others prior to the commencement of the development concluded that gas protection measures were required to be installed in order to break the pollution linkages associated with the accumulation of ground gases in the proposed development.

Demeter Environmental were commissioned to validate the installation of the gas protection measures designed by others. The measures comprised of a gas resistant membrane and a reinforced ground bearing slab.

The suitability of the membrane as well as the correct installation was initially inspected, once completed the protection of the membrane from the reinforcements was also inspected.

Two site visits were undertaken in order to witness all parts of the installation of the measures.

 

 

The validation report was submitted in order to discharge condition 6, the report was accepted and the condition discharged.
