Due to the sensitive nature of the proposed development Wyre Council attached the contaminated land planning condition to the decision notice of the proposed development.

The site comprised of  a single two story dwelling with established gardens, no evidence of contamination was identified during the walkover survey.

The historical review did not reveal any credible issues on the site, but a number of parcels of in-filled land were identified within 250m of the site, and as an alternative to undertaking a ground gas investigation and subsequent gas monitoring, the incorporation of gas protection measures were proposed.
