In order to support the application for the residential redevelopment of the site Demeter Environmental were commissioned to prepare a desk study report for the site.
The desk study identified that the site comprised of a garden (northern area) and a works which was erected between 1973 and 1985. A scrap yard was identified as forming the northern boundary of the site.
The walkover survey revealed that the works was currently used to restore classic cars.
A previous site investigation report was provided by the client, which was incorporated into the desk study report and was used to refine the preliminary conceptual model.
Given the use of the site as a works and the scrap yard on the northern boundary a Phase II investigation was proposed in the desk study report.
