Given the past industrial use of the site Demeter Environmental were commissioned to undertake the required works to discharge the contaminated land planning condition.

As part of the walkover survey trial pits were excavated in the vicinity of a known fuel tank and samples were tested as part of the desk study to determine any potential risks.

Further intrusive works were required after completion of the demolition works to determine if any risks were present across the site and concluded that concentrations of arsenic int he made ground on the site posed a potential risk to human health, and remediation was proposed.

The site was sold and we had no further involvement with the subsequent remediation.

The combined desk study report / Phase II investigation can be accessed here, the emo confirming the acceptance of the report can be accessed here.
