Synopsis:

To support the application for the conversion of the existing industrial building to 12 industrial/storage/business units a desk study report was required to determine if any risks form ground contamination were present.

The report identified the potential made ground present under the site to be a credible source of contamination which had the potential to impact on building fabric and water mains (the proposed development did not contain landscaped areas). The conclusions of the report were accepted and the development allowed to proceed.
