In order to discharge to contaminated land planing condition attached to the decision notice Demeter Environmental were commissioned to prepare a desk study report for the site.

At the time of the walkover survey, the development had been completed and hand held boreholes were sunk int he landscaped areas to determine if there was any evidence of made ground, none was encountered.

Whilst a number of potential sources of contamination were identified in the review of the historical maps, all were discounted as credible sources in the qualitative risk assessment and the report concluded that no further works are warranted.

The report was formally submitted in January 2012 (Q0029.12) and the condition was discharged (memo is the first ‘Decision Notice – DOC_DEC’ in the documents section)Screen Shot 2015-06-17 at 12.07.13
