The interim report for the ‘Development of Category 4 Screening Levels for assessment of land affected by contamination – SP1010’ has been released by DEFRA. The Category 4 Screening Level (C4SLs) will provide a threshold which would provide a simple test for deciding that land is suitable for use and definitely not contaminated land.
